- JT – This is the PowerBreak Podcast, I’m JT along with Bob Brubaker and this is the –– time for some questions and answers. Feel free to submit your questions by EMAIL TO JT@bobbrubaker.com and we’ll get to the answer on an upcoming PowerBreak. Podcast…
- JT – Question ONE - FROM THE SPIRITUAL SIDE OF LIFE….
Why is it so important to be familiar with the Lord as our hiding place, and to be reminded to seek Him out so often?
- Bob & JT discuss
The storms of life are real.
Discouragement is real.
Paralysis is real.
Wanting to get away is real…. And it’s practiced over and over.
STOP THE MADNESS…
Psalm 32:6–7 (ESV) — 6 Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. 7 You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah
Psalm 119:114 (ESV) — 114 You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.
Psalm 23:4–5 (ESV) — 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
2 Corinthians 4:7–10 (ESV) — 7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. 8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.
- JT – Question Two… “FROM THE MENTAL ASPECT”
How do we mentally lock onto this concept of seeking a hiding place?
- Bob & JT discuss
We do that naturally anyway…. When we try to find solace in leaving town, binge eating or other vices…. Sometimes we just shut down and find a hiding place by shutting off everyone and everything… ((INCLUDING GOD)))
Stop
Go back to the promise..
Selah
