- Bob – POINT: Being ready to stop anger when it’s head rises up by turning to God in prayer keeps us from acting a fool….
Ecclesiastes 7:9 (ESV) — 9 Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the heart of fools.
It pays to have a godly response in mind, ready to go, even rehearsed regularly so we do not fall into the trap of being a fool.

You have pointed out some help when facing anger, so let’s talk application. How can we get this into our lives?
- Bob & JT discuss
- Plan of action (instead of winging it)
- Draw it up
- Practice it. (((like SWAT TEAM responses)
- Recognize the attacks of the adversary to be on guard with your ready plan
- Be ready to confess and repent whenever you fail --- get back on track with the plan

Proverbs 29:22 (ESV) — 22 A man of wrath stirs up strife, and one given to anger causes much transgression.
Ecclesiastes 7:9 (ESV) — 9 Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the heart of fools.
James 1:20 (ESV) — 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
Proverbs 15:1 (ESV) — 1 A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
- JT – Question Two… “FROM THE MENTAL ASPECT”
How do we mentally overcome the “selfish factor” that wants to blame the other person who has offended us in order to be the one who reaches out to make reconciliation?

2 Corinthians 5:18 (ESV) — 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;
Matthew 18:15 (ESV) — 15 “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.
Matthew 5:23–24 (ESV) — 23 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
If God the offended took the initiative to reconcile us to Himself, isn’t it a small thing if we humble ourselves to be the initiator of reconciliation, especially since He’s given us. THAT JOB… OR MINISTRY
THEREBY DEMONSTRATING THAT WE ARE HIS CHILDREN
Matthew 5:9 (ESV) — 9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

How important is sleep to training?
- Bob and JT discuss…
Recent studies have found that a lack of sleep or “poor sleep” can really hurt your workouts and cause your workouts to be less effective. And nobody wants that…
Specifically: Poor sleep can or a lack of sleep can impair your coordination, slower your reaction times, increase the likelihood of injury & increase the time for recovering from injury, to say nothing of a lack of sleep as a major cause of decreased performance, slower recovery from workouts, and overall heightened fatigue levels.
Burning the candle at both ends only proves you are not as bright as you think you are.
Anything final thoughts on this JT?
Bob’s final comment – It takes discipline to train on any level but it also takes discipline to get enough good sleep which is a vital part of training.
Point: DISCIPLINE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE --- in all aspects of life
