So JT What does that title bring up to your mind?

  1. Bob – POINT: Citizenship in the “Kingdom of God” has it’s privileges as well as its responsibilities.

 

Philippians 3:20–21 (ESV) — 20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

  1. JT – Question ONE - FROM THE SPIRITUAL SIDE OF LIFE….

 

You used the term, “fellow citizens” in the title of the blog, but with whom are we citizens that make us “fellow citizens?”

All the saints from the past, present and future, from every kindred, tongue and nation.

Ephesians 2:18–22 (ESV) — 18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

Hebrews 2:9–13 (ESV) — 9 But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. 10 For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering. 11 For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers, 12 saying, “I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.” 13 And again, “I will put my trust in him.” And again, “Behold, I and the children God has given me.”

How does or should knowing these things change our mental strategies?

Hope, Love, worship

Galatians 3:26–29 (ESV) — 26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

Philippians 2:4 (ESV) — 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

2 Peter 3:13 (ESV) — 13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

  1. (JT) Third Question …. From the physical side of life…

 

What are some advantages of cross training? …. Not necessarily “cross fit training.”

 

  1. Bob and JT discuss…

 

“Cross fit training” is cross training but done at a higher level where as cross training involves working different muscle groups in the way of recovery from what you are doing most… and the variety gives you added benefits of keeping you interested in what you are doing most, as well as keeping you active without over taxing you.

 

Anything thoughts on this JT?

 

Bob’s final comment – Cross training is a good relief from the norm without missing the benefits of exercise. But it takes discipline.

 

Point: DISCIPLINE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE --- in all aspects of life
