So JT What does that title bring up to your mind?

4. Bob – POINT: As the Bible speaks about the word Amen, it seems we should be ready to voice Amen when God is praised and when things are prayed for which we agree.

Romans 11:33–36 (ESV) — 33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! 34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?” 35 “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?” 36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

10. JT – Question ONE - FROM THE SPIRITUAL SIDE OF LIFE….

Are you advocating being more boisterous in saying Amen in our worship services?

It may not be a bad idea…. Which is better saying Amen or yawning?

Psalm 106:48 (ESV) — 48 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, “Amen!” Praise the Lord!

Ephesians 2:1–7 (ESV) — 1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

If God demanded an amen from the people upon reading each blessing and each curse upon entering the promised land as a way of affirmation…. Then how much more should we be voicing amen to the descriptions of God and declaration of God’s word?

12. JT – Question Two… “FROM THE MENTAL ASPECT”

I get that but mentally I am having a hard time with saying amen in a prayer meeting, won’t that be disruptive?

1 Corinthians 14:16 (ESV) — 16 Otherwise, if you give thanks with your spirit, how can anyone in the position of an outsider say “Amen” to your thanksgiving when he does not know what you are saying?

Matthew 18:19 (ESV) — 19 Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.

Ephesians 3:20–21 (ESV) — 20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Nehemiah 8:6 (ESV) — 6 And Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God, and all the people answered, “Amen, Amen,” lifting up their hands. And they bowed their heads and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.

What do you think about revisiting to adjust or redo physical goals for the year?

• Keep your goals SMART =specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time bound
• Reconnect with your WHY
• Get help from an expert
• Have a plan B to fall back on without going into failure mode
• Celebrate little victories
