  1. Bob – POINT: It’s amazing how breaking things down into bite size pieces helps us overcome the stimy of procrastination… so all it takes is a little reminder like the value of just five good minutes… think about what a difference that makes in the long run…

 

Philippians 4:12–13 (ESV) — 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

5 MINUTES FOR SOME = nothing for others it’s a big deal… even for others who have a good habit… when things close in and interruptions happen --- just five good minutes and see what happens

Procrastination is the killer and that is overcome with the “give me five good minutes” principle

 

  1. JT – Question Two… “FROM THE MENTAL ASPECT”

 

Let’s talk why the five good minutes principle works mentally… is it because it’s so small that you really can’t fail?

That  has much to do with it I’m sure.

Five minutes is so small that it’s hard for five minutes to be such a road block to keep you from getting started but FIVE MINUTES is enough for your to feel some momentum so you want to keep going.

  1. (JT) Third Question …. Turning to the physical aspect of life….

How much weight is enough and how much is too much?

  1. Need Coach Chris….
  2. Need your take on this … JT
  3. Requires testing by picking a weight with which you can do 20 reps. – 2 to 3 weeks
  4. Add weight and try 10 reps if too easy add some more next time – 2 – 3 weeks
  5. Add weight when it becomes easy on ten reps
  6. Once in a while add some additional weight for five reps… do it for a week
  7. See if you can add weight without too much strain to go back to 10 reps.

 

Bob’s final comment – It takes discipline ….

 

Point: DISCIPLINE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE --- in all aspects of life
