Let’s talk some more about the spiritual side of Paralyzation From Over-analyzation… how is this a spiritual problem and how do we overcome?

  • James 1:5–8 (ESV) — 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
  • Luke 9:62 (ESV) — 62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”
  • Luke 17:32–33 (ESV) — 32 Remember Lot’s wife. 33 Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it.

 

CONCLUSION: Stop and think about it… If God’s word warns about the negative affects of being paralyzed from over-analyzing … and Jesus said the only to follow Him is by being all in and not looking back… THEN LISTEN UP… “get out of the boat and follow Jesus”

How do you keep that from paralyzing you?”

2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV) — 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV 1900) — 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

 

James 3:17–18 (ESV) — 17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. 18 And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
